A Capital Asset Management Program (CAMP) is a tool to assist the Cape Charles Mayor and Town Council with planning and management of the capital improvement projects required to maintain or improve services or respond to anticipated growth. It is intended to provide a complete picture of the town's major development needs over the next six years by showing when, and at what cost, the town expects to make capital investments during that period. The CAMP attempts to take personal preferences, emotion, and politics out of the decision-making process. These are replaced with objective criteria that organize the projects logically and in efficient ways. The program also brings all projects together in one place, so that decisions on any one project can be made in the context of all other potential needs/requirements.
