PUBLIC MESSAGE #14 RE: COVID-19

June 5, 2020

Notice to all residents and business owners:

This has certainly been a difficult time for many of us.  Trying to balance economic concerns against public health concerns has been a real challenge, and we again want to thank all of you for your understanding and patience as we continue to seek this balance.

But the good news is that the Cape Charles Beach is now open!  Phase 2 of the Governor’s reopening plan is also now in effect.  Life is beginning to return to a sense of normalcy.  Yet as exciting as all this may be, it is also critically important to remind everyone that we are not out of the woods just yet.  The virus is still out there, and the only way we can keep this progress going is if everyone continues to be respectful and take common sense precautions.

continue to maintain social distancing; wash/disinfect your hands often; wear a mask where required; do not congregate in large numbers; and most importantly, do not go out if you are feeling ill.

For those of you hosting visitors this summer, please emphasize this to your guests.

With everyone’s help, we can keep Cape Charles moving toward a safe and enjoyable summer.
